break's voice is pleasant, even as his words carry a gentle warning. he's been sitting on this particular blanket by the eternal tree for quite a while, this spot chosen deliberately, not immediately identifiable by people passing by. it's peaceful and quiet, and he's primarily been doing a bit of a new hobby of his: birdwatching.

   turns out, a lot of little animals find their home within ophiuchus. it also turns out that mad hatter will indulge him on this, the chain somewhat glad for something to focus and hone in on, even if it complains from time to time. perhaps it's silly, to soothe it this way, but that's only something that'll pay off for break later down the line, when it's not so aggressive the next time it grows angry.

   all this to say, he's not doing any watching, blind as he is. but he does have a pair of fairly ancient looking binoculars with him that he get at the market town recently, and he waves them in the girl's direction as she tries to settle down nearby, next to a patch of plants that seem to have caught her attention.

   ' little lady, ' he speaks softly, careful to not be too loud. ' if you'll indulge me and come look, for a second— i believe you'll see a family of cardinals up above. quietly, if you will. '
